Coordinator Responsibilities [ back to main ]

Liberty Day coordinators are needed at the regional, state, county and local levels. A coordinator’s main responsibilities are to disseminate information, establish contacts, and facilitate and develop events within their area and be a presence at Liberty Day events and functions.

Coordinators accomplish this by initiating and assisting within their area and guiding those coordinators working within local jurisdictions (i.e. counties, cities, etc.)

Coordinators responsibilities also include:

  • EVENTS - Maintain and update agenda of events within your area
  • CIVIC GROUPS & SCHOOLS - Establish and maintain contact with civic organizations, school administrators and community groups
  • MEDIA - Maintain a media list (newspaper, radio, TV) to aid in information distribution
  • LEGISLATIVE - Establish and maintain contact with local government officials
  • DONATIONS - Develop donation lists and contacts within local business and philanthropic entities
  • VOLUNTEERS - Develop recruiting of volunteers list
  • DOCUMENTATION - Collect and deliver pertinent information regarding events and news about Liberty Day for the web site
  • MATERIALS MANAGEMENT - Maintain Liberty Day Inventory of materials or coordinate order of materials for events in your area
