Liberty Day Events

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

“Liberty Day” is March 16th – the birthday of the father of our Constitution, James Madison. This is the designated date for Liberty Day and is one of our most important dates. The other significant date is September 17th which has been named Constitution Day. A day designated by Public Law 108-447 Sec. 111 Division J - SEC. 111(b) which states that all levels of educational institutions that receive federal funds are required to educate students on our U.S. Constitution.

This days, both recognized by Congress, make up two of our quarterly events. To date, over 700,000 copies of the Liberty Day booklet have been distributed nationwide.

Although March 16 is the official Liberty Day theme day, every day is Liberty Day!

We are continually organizing events and opportunities for Liberty Day and Liberty Day Kids to educate and become educated about the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution.

One of our successful programs involves teaching 8-11 year olds questions & answers about the Constitution and planning a fun, interactive event where they get to quiz adults about what they have learned at locations such as state capitols, post offices, universities, and municipal forums.

The second program involves scheduling speakers with civic service and government experience into classrooms, then leading students through complete assignments related to the Constitutional message.

Our goal is to help future generations of leaders understand the nature of our government as intended – these documents belong to the people. Our slogan is “A Constitution in every pocket.” We have no political agenda. Educating Americans is our future.
